An Angel With Devil Ways, a sonnet by the Bard of Bat Yam(#BardOf Bat Yam) , Poet Laureate Of Zion(#PoetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori

an Angel with Devil ways
a heart full of Love that strays
breaking hearts as she goes
looking for, nobody knows
leaving behind a pile of broken hearts
many of them missing parts
some call her a Devil when she's gone
but their all left alone
wondering if that Angel was for real
me,I know cause I can feel
the comfort while under her wing
I can hear the Angels sing,
calling her from high above
telling her to be careful with her Love
that someday she will break the wrong heart
one that will tear her apart
she will hear his heart beating in vain
like thunder heard over the rain

Fifty Shades of Grey, a poem by the Bard of Bat Yam ,(#BardOfBatYam) , Poet Laureate of Zion (#PoetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori (#stephendrus, #stephendarori)

The missus bought a Paperback
down Dymocks, Saturday,
I had a look in her bag;
T’was “fifty shades of grey”.

Well I just left her to it,
At ten I went to bed.
An hour later she appeared;

The sight filled me with dread…..

In her left hand she held a rope;
And in her right a whip!
She threw them down on the floor,
And then began to strip.

Well fifty years or so ago;
I might have had a peek;
But Doris hasn’t weathered well;
She’s eighty four next week.

Watching Doris bump and grind;
Could not have been much grimmer.
Things went from bad to worse;
She toppled off her Zimmer!

She struggled up upon her feet;
A couple minutes later;
She put her teeth back in and…
Said…. I must dominate her!!

Now if you knew our Doris,
You’d see just why I spluttered,
I’d spent two months in traction
For the last complaint I’d muttered.

She stood there nude, naked like;
Bent forward just a bit ….
I thought what the hell,
Stepped forward,
and stood on her left tit!
Doris screamed, her teeth shot out;
My god what had I done!?
She moaned and groaned then shouted out:
“Step on the other one”!!

Well readers, I can’t tell no more;
About what occurred that day.
Suffice to say my jet black hair,….
Turned “fifty shades of Grey”.

Erin put a whoopie cushion
on the teacher’s chair.
Cassandra told the teacher
that a bug was in her hair.

Alexandra brought an apple
with a purple gummy worm
and gave it to the teacher
just to see if she would squirm.

Joseph left a piece of plastic
dog doo on the floor,
and David put some plastic vomit
in the teacher’s drawer.

Zoeyput a goldfish
in the teacher’s drinking glass.
These April Fool’s Day pranks
are ones that you could use in class.

Before you go and try them, though,
there’s something I should mention:
The teacher wasn’t fooling
when she put us in detention.

The clock was ticking loud , a poem by the Bard of Bat Yam (#BardOfBatYam) , Poet Laureate Of Zion (@PoetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori

Image result for The clock was ticking loud

Last night I lay me down to slumber
but like a thwarted lover
sleep evaded me

I tossed and turned
and threw my cover

Thus unencumbered
I waited for the knell

of the mantle chime to caste its spell
The clock was ticking loud

A shadow passed by a cloud

And then upon my balcony
Singing a faint melody
Appeared a man of fantasy

He lightly touched my brow

With him came my dear old friend
The sandman; Knave of night
Who came to give me blessed sleep
to last ‘til morning light

The stranger by the sandman’s side
had moonlight in his hair
His eyes were blue like sapphire stars
His face was wondrous fair

Between his hands he wove a web
of spider’s silk so fine

Decked with jewels
A galaxy
The Northern lights entwined

“Who is this man of mystery”?

The Sandman answered clear
“I bring to you ‘the dream catcher’.
A friend I hold most dear”

“The dreams I bring where’re I roam
I carry on my back
And when I land to pay a call
they scatter from my sack”
“Dreams you have in plenty”
I heard the Catcher say
"Its my task to gather up
the dreams that go astray

"Some dreams linger through the day
Some dreams travel on
Some seem to vanish into air
When they end they’re gone

"Many fleeting dreams I capture
in my silken net
Some are dreams you’ve dreamed before
Some haven’t happened yet”

Entranced I was
by this vision master
Securely in his thrall
Like a dream spun in his web
Caught by his siren call

But the night was waning fast
Aurora’s trumpet sounded
And from my bed into the stars
My Dream Catcher neatly bounded

“I’ll come to you again my love”
He whispered ‘ere he fled
But my visage will have changed
When next I’m by your bed

I’ll gather you on my pale horse
when its your time to go
For what is life but dreams and mist
An illusive magic show"

Batouchka ,are you Mrs. Right Darori?

Cuddly  and sexy with a personality to die for
Just makes me want you more and more
I smile at you cause you look so good
I wanted to faint right where I stood
You're Mrs. Right and this I can tell
I wanted to scream at your wonderful smell
You said excuse me Mister can I talk to you
I said no problem I don't mind if you do
I saw you over here and thought I'd say hi
I said I apologize I'm just a little shy
You said don't worry but there's no need to be
I just gotta know if you're even feelin me
Yeah I gotta admit you did catch my eye
I'm just wondering if you're my kind of guy
You need a guy like me around for protection
I'm telling you now I'm not looking for perfection
You said perfection is what no one can be
I wonder are you enjoying your conversation with me
You smiled and said most definitely
I said I'm impressed and I like what I see
So who's the lucky man that's blessed to be with you
No one yet my ex and I are thoughly through
Why would anyone let you go
I ask that too but I just don't know
Well I'm hoping to find miss right
Someone I can come home to at night
I hear what you are saying I feel the same
You said by the way I didn't catch your name
The conversation was broke by the ring of my phone
I'm sorry can I have a minute alone
You gave me your number and said use it some time
So I said would it be cool if I give you mine

I hit the road just me and my pack
everything I owned on my back
to see what I could find
and to leave my old world behind
I've seen this old world as I've never seen it before
I've done things I would never do' I swore
I met the junkie and the boozer
along with a few other of Life's losers
I smoke his grass, I drank his wine
I listened to his Life story and heard mine
I've shared his dreams, I've known his sorrow
I cursed today and prayed for no tomorrow

My Love ,if you were my rose, then I'd be your sun, .... a stretched sonnet by the Bard Of Bat Yam (#BardOfBatYam) , Poet Laureate of Zion (PoetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori (#StephenDarori)

Image result for popart ,if you were my rose, then I'd be your sun

My Love ,if you were my rose, then I'd be your sun,
painting you rainbows when the rains come.
I'd change my orbit to banish the night,
as to keep you in my nurturing light.

My Love. if you were my world, then I'd be your moon,
your silent protector, a night-light in the gloom.
Our fates intertwined, two bodies in motion
through time and space, our dance of devotion.

My Love,  f you were my island, then I'd be your sea,
caressing your shores, soft and gentle I'd be.
My tidal embrace would leave gifts on your sands,
but by current and storm, I'd ward your gentle lands.

My Love, if you were love's promise, then I would be time,
your constant companion till stars align.
And though we are mere mortals, true love is divine,
and my devotion eternal, to my one valentine.

Columbia ...like a beautiful butterfly bolted to a bullet by the Bar of Bat Yam (#BardOfBat Yam) , Poet Laureate of Zion (#POetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori

Image result for Spaceship Columbia in flames

like a beautiful butterfly bolted to a bullet
beautiful and fragile but not afraid to fly
up toward Heaven through the vast beautiful sky
she breaks free and flies on her own
gliding around earth like few have ever known

the butterfly is silent as she spreads her wings
but the Heaven echoes as the Angels sings
seven brave astronauts on the journey of their life
brothers and sisters, fathers, mother, husband and a wife
each one living their own dream
but together they are one team

each one has looked to earth from high above
and thought about the ones they love
and looked up at the stars and beyond
looked back to what we have and what's yet to be done

seven astronauts unaware of the Angels on their wing
they don't hear the sad song, they now sing
they know the danger of travel in space
but not the grim task, the seven Angels face

a beautiful butterfly bolted to a bullet
beautiful and fragile but not afraid to fly
up toward Heaven through a vast beautiful sky
seven new Angels take flight
seven new stars, adorn the Heavens tonight

My lust for you is out of control. by the Bard of Bat Yam(#BardOfBatYam) , Poet Laureate Of Zion(#PoetLaureateOfZion) and Stephen Darori

I know you still come and go.
I can tell you are here, though your face you won’t show.
Lurking about watching me.
But I think this time you will really will leave.

It’s a strange comfort knowing you are around.
Though I will stay quite and not make a sound.
Not even utter a simple hello.
I want you to feel free to come and go.

I can’t say you will be gone for good.
Even if you know you really should.
Because if those urges ever come back.
I am the one who gives you what you lack.

Now what is going to be so hard for me.
Is minding my business and letting you be.
My lust for you is out of control.
But setting you free is my goal.

You don’t know how many times I have stopped myself.
Took all my emotions and put them on a shelf.
Didn’t leave that note or picture too.
Doing everything I can to stop enticing you.

But my heart says don’t you even resist.
It gets very bossy and says do as you wish.
My wishes are that you are taken care of.
And are happily married to your true love.

Behaving myself will be so hard to do.
When all of my fantasies revolve around you.
I have to accept I won’t get what I need.
And that you never had any intentions to please me.

Maybe you did but it just didn’t work out.
Now I have grown too tired and just pout.
Still thoughts of you invade my head.
Schemes and plans to get you into my bed.

Show some restraint is what I must.
Stifle all my passions when it comes to you.
It leaves me with a big empty hole.
From the chunk of my heart that you stole.

You are completely irresistible to me.
I am so conflicted trying to set you free.
I know I simply must not persist.
But my weakness is you how can I resist?

A bitter winter of despair... a poem by the Bard of Bat Yam(#BardOfBatYam) , Poet Laureate Of Zion (#PoetLareateOfZion) and Stephen Darori

Image result for black skies syria destruction

It's a bitter winter of despair

Dark, black clouds hug the horizon
Great, grey waves crash the battered beaches
churning up detritus;
man's trash, coughed up by nature
and spit out upon the shores

Tar-covered carcases smear the pebbles
where happy, little children used to run
naked and innocent
not knowing their presence blighted
the sand where they gathered shells
in their sweet, poisonous little hands

The sound of oil rigs thump in the distance
day and night
like the beat of a distressed heart

Pumping, pumping, pumping
earth's blood out onto the spoiled land

Far off in the desert a woman squints up
at the blazing sun in the sky

She hears the thunder of bombers
over the steady thump, thump, thump
of oil rigs on the land her ancesters
crossed slowly on desert ships;
living satisfied for thousandes of years
without the black wells of blood
for which so many will soon die
